Festivals.

So my friend Jeff managed to find me a ticket to purchase for Glastonbury Festival in June; which is the most prestigious festival in Europe. So many cool bands are playing it: Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons, Muse, Stevie Wonder etc. So aside from all that awesome music, it will also be made extra special because 2 of my housemates just won a competition to play it, in their band Ellen and the Escapades. Which is just the icing on the cake.

Tomorrow I'm going home at 6 in the morning. It'll be the first time I've gone by train to get home; so I'll be travelling in luxury. Can't wait to see my brothers. I haven't been back in the Shire since Christmas, and even then I couldn't see any of my friends because of the snow and ice so I am really excited.

Chicken Ramen Soup

Before the ecstacy of being home I am going to Wagamamas with Jess. I can't wait, I know exactly what I am going to eat [See Above Photo]. I haven't been to Wagamamas in ages, but it has to be one of my favourite chain restaurants. Ever since I left Catalunya I have always craved Japanese food; Alba and Joan Marc used to take me to this wonderful Japanese restaurant with a tree inside. I am literally bouncing with excitement in anticipation.

Youth

Tonight I saw the band Youthmovies at the Brudenell Social Club. It was pretty good, nice to see an Oxford band in Leeds. Unfortunately it was their last gig....sad times.

Fionn Regan 'The End of History'

My girlfriend Jess introduced me to this irish folk singer called Fionn Regan, I've been listening to him a lot recently, well a lot before the Laura Marling CD arrived. Anyways I really hated his voice at first but I gave him a few more listens and he has really grown on me I'm really beginning to love his music.
Tis' so wonderful to have lovely people to share music with in life, I just hope one day I will have the same effect on someone in life. Nothing compares* to the feeling of discovering music that you love for the first time.

I got this album yesterday in the post, I think it may be my new favourite album it is absolutely beautiful. I think i've listened to it about 10 times in the last day and a half.

So Recently I've been getting loads of spots. Normally I would use my prescription, however I can't renew that because I'm not at home...So I'm hoping that this will hope because I used it on holiday once and it worked pretty well. As for now, I'll just have to get used to having a face that looks like an exploded mine field....bodies and all.

I'm currently reading frantically on my dissertation topic; looking into the aftermath of the Greenpeace 'Kingsnorth Six' protests. It's pretty interesting stuff, but it seems to take up all of my time at the moment. Can't wait to be finished for the summer as I may possibly have a primary teaching placement at my little brothers school for six weeks. Only time will tell...
